In his first film about ballet (La Danse - Le ballet de l'Opéra de Paris followed in 2009), we see typical Wiseman scenes, in which the economic and organizational aspects of the company are presented, but the main focus is on the dancers and their strenuous rehearsals, which take place under the critical eye of famous choreographers (including Agnes de Mille). In a second part, Wiseman accompanies the dancers on a European tour to Athens and Copenhagen and shows the troupe not only on stage, but also as enjoying leisure time on a Greek beach for example.
